See Australia's top selling car for the last 15 years, the Holden Commodore, being made from steel coil to the car you see on the road.

Part 2 of Steel to Road explores the Body and Paint Shops. See the Holden Commodore make its way through the Body Shop where the familiar body profile takes shape and learn what goes into producing the Commodore's rich and unique colours in the Paint Shop

Part 3 of Steel to Road kicks off at Holden's Engine Operations Plant in Port Melbourne Victoria where the well-known Commodore V6 engines are manufactured. It then takes us to the General Assembly line where the dashboard and instrument panels are installed.

The Commodore is now on the home straight of the manufacturing process. Part 4 of Steel to Road shows the operators working in the 'walk in' front end and see the instrument panel installed through the windscreen.

The Holden Commodore is nearly complete. See how the familiar car makes its way through the door and marriage lines where the body and mechanicals come together.

This is the final part of our Steel to Road series showing how the Holden Commodore is made. This part takes us through the trim lines, quality verification and final testing. Once all is complete, the Holden Commodore is ready to make its way to the open road.
