Slade Pumped After Rally Win

The latest news and information regarding the V8 Supercar Championship

TIM Slade says he would jump at the chance to race a Polaris again after finishing equal first on day two of the Side by Side Rally Challenge at the Australian Rally Championships.
Slade and navigator Garry Ridden got off to a rocky start on the Sunshine Coast track, rolling their Polaris RZR 900 XP on the first stage. But the following day they equalled the time set by Michael Guest and David Green to tie for first.
My focus is certainly on the V8 Supercars Championship Series, says Slade.
But if there was another opportunity to race the Polaris I would certainly be jumping at it. The grip and acceleration of the vehicles in the dirt was awesome.
I love any type of racing, whether its racing a $100 bomb at the speedway or racing in a multi-million dollar operation like V8 Supercars, so going into the weekend it was all about having a bit of fun and enjoyment and I had a blast.
Although Slade and Ridden were rookies to the sport, they were determined to be competitive by day two.
Its a shame we rolled on Saturday because I didnt go out to break any land speed records and we had to go through five stages with damage before we could stop and fix it.
