Circuit / System Description
The electronic brake control module (EBCM) energizes the solenoid valve relay when the ignition switch is ON. The solenoid valve relay applies voltage to the solenoid valve coils. The solenoid valve relay remains energized until the ignition switch is turned OFF, or the ABS/TCS is disabled. The EBCM controls the operation of each solenoid valve by applying ground to the solenoid valve coil control circuit to modulate the brake fluid pressure of each wheel circuit. The EBCM monitors the solenoid valve relay and the solenoid valves for proper operation.
