Some Details about the Vauxhall VXR8 Clusters.
Like the Pontiac G8 Clusters, the Vauxhall VXR8 faces are in MPH.
(Actually the MPH markings line up quite nicely with the Pontiac G8 Cluster)
Unlike Pontiac G8 Clusters however, The Vauxhall VXR8 cluster face has the required cutout holes for fitting to a triple LCD cluster.
Here is the Vauxhall VXR8 E1/E2 fascia, the Newer Vauxhall E3 Fascia, an E1/E2 HSV Fascia and a Pontiac G8 Cluster for comparison
What would be required for this conversion ?The Vauxhall VXR8 E1 E2 and E3 Clusters are loosely based on the Australian Calais / Calais V Instrument Cluster.

The Vauxhall VXR8 E1 E2 and E3 cluster uses the same fascia surround as the Calais Cluster model, but has the following changes.
1) The Vauxhall VXR8 E1 and E2 Cluster uses Red LEDs for the White face Illumination
2) The Vauxhall VXR8 E1 and E2 Cluster uses Red Needles (As found on the Pontiac G8 and HSV Clusters), as opposed to the White needles fitted to Calais Clusters.
3) The Vauxhall VXR8 E3 Cluster uses the same white needles and white Illumination as the Calais Cluster
4) The Calais Cluster does not have provisions for the 1->4 Shift Warning Light, which is locates on the bottom left hand corner of the cluster face.
(Which is different again to the 1->4 Warning Light position on Pontiac G8 Clusters)
The Calais Cluster is very similar to the Australian HSV and Statesman/Caprice models, which display Tire pressure warnings on the centre LCD screen.
(As opposed to having dedicated warning lamps for these on the Pontiac G8 Cluster)
5) The Vauxhall VXR8 Cluster face has an extra Rear Fog Lamp Warning light, located just below the Fuel Gauge.
(No Australian Models were fitted with a rear fog lamp)...
