HVAC Fan Problems after S1 to S2 MyIQ upgrade

Specific interior modification information for Holden Commodore VE and VEII Series Commodores, and HSV E1, E2, and E3 models

Postby radarlaserau » Fri Mar 27, 2015 9:17 pm

Hey Guys

Just finished upgrading my series 1 to a MyIQ.

Problem is, I have lost Fan functions and control.
I can see the temperatures of the DZ HVAC resistor mod on the MyIQ and I have no errors on my OBDII

I have checked all known fuses and tested function of the fan with my S1 SZ HVAC.

Any clue where to start in diagnosing? has anyone had this fault before

Sounds like it's a SZ HVAC and needs to be flashed to dual zone.

Thanks for the tip mate
Is there anyway to tell a DZ from a SZ.

I removed the HVAC module with the MyIQ from the same Series 2, assumed it would be a DZ?? So I had it resistor modified when I had my IQ flashed.

Have purchased a second 'what i hope to be a DZ' HVAC and waiting on RS components to send me the resistors. So ill see if that makes any real difference.

Ps. No JayCar I could find around Adelaide stocks the 2.6K 5.6K resistors, They have everything but those two ohm values

Fixed :)
The original installer of the resistor's did a nice soldering job, but failed to protect the resistor legs from contacting a pad on the HVAC board, slipped plastic sheet between board and resistor, problem fixed.
