car cranks over so not key or key reader

if you use the wrong code it fails.. wont succeed when programming

the code it is showing is that the ecu/PIM don't have the same matching immobiliser code stored in each other... sounding like the ECU maybe at fault if it is the only thing not replaced/programmed

Your right, it does crank.
I was just thinking they may have tried the code from the donor car BCM & not the car fitted to, (but was done by holden so they would know) but as you said programming will fail. sounds like PIM not matched to ECU properly or as you said ECU screwed. Be interesting to see the outcome. cheers

huh... learn something new everyday.

Id agree with you on that, apart from the key is being registered as valid to turn the security light off in the cluster so the bcm is accepting it.

Id say redoing the bcm relink would be the go. Or turning VATS off to see if that sorts it.

Well I was thinking, maybe correct BCM code may turn off security dash light & allow it to turn over & the PIM may just cut off injectors &/or fuel pump. We still do not know if it has spark or not....which may help a bit more.
But i'm only a dumbie, so let me know if I am wrong! Cheers
