haha,
Well done !
Keep working on the missus for the Tech2, maybe get one as a xmas pressy to yourself ?

I think the Tech2/Tis will only let you upgrade the radio to V6, The V9 radios are slightly different to the earlier ones, but a v5 one can definitely be manually upgraded if u are prepared to reflash all the internal modules.

There's actually a fair amount involved - there's 3 MCUs (mainboard, fascia and video board) and 2 eeproms (mainboard and fascia)
The hardware and programming apps needed to flash the 2 Renesas & 1 Fujitsu MCU are quite different to doing the eeprom.
The good news is the programming apps are free and available from the chip manufacturers websites.
You will also need to download the mcu hardware manuals - they are pretty heavy reading, but give you an idea how to read/write to the internal flash.

Was it sold to you as a 2010 model - I noticed the eeprom dump had a 2007 VIN in it (not yours ?)
Probably easier to get a MY 9.5 or 10 one if you really want the reverse cam, but you still have to find the locations, unless the donor car had the factory cam fitted :-)

Yeah the guy said it was from a 2010 ssv. Are the reverse camera locations known? I just want to enable the guide lines. Is this only available on the newer versions?

Only the MY10 , 9.5 and maybe MY9 had the factory camera option available, earlier ones didn't have it available in the software, although the hardware has always been able to support it with cam video input pins on the X7 connector
You could always hook it up on the aux input on the existing HU with an autoswitcher maybe ?
