Hey Guys,
Appreciate all the feedback.
I agree that the ECU can be reset with the immo code. The 5 speed and six speed TCM can also be reset as well as the IQ (see below).
IMG_0006.JPG
The abs, hvac etc can be fitted to another car without the need for a reset but does need to be flashed to get the matching vin number programmed otherwise a vin mismatch code will be logged. Once it has been programmed, the variant configuration needs to be programmed.
I'm not trying to be Technical Ted here but just relaying my experiences.
In regards to my IQ, I did an in circuit eeprom read on another IQ and was able to get all of the bin codes. As mentioned earlier in my post, when I read the eeprom front m my IQ, all the data fields are blank. Am I able to copy the bin files from the donor IQ and write to my IQ eeprom and then edit the vin number ??
Also was wondering with the IC, if I fit it to a S2 VE and do the variant configurations, can I fit it to my S1 Ve without faults ?. I know I will still get the vin mismatch fault code but this is something I'll have to try and figure out. I appreciate Tazzl telling me how easy it is to remove the needles but I'm still feeling a little sketchy about it. I guess I'll have to find a donor IC to practitioner.
Thanks so much for everybody taking an interest. Please let me know if I can help anyone in some way.

The resets your referring too for the TCM and IQ are actually just that and poorly named. They reset learned values/reboot. They do not delink as there is no linking bar the VIN. I have Tech2 right next to me and I have seen the low level CAN data of what it does. Even if you check the Holden SI information there is no reference at all to doing a Reset ECU before or after linking.

Anyway. Yes copy your donor IQ EEPROM to the new IQ and change the VIN. Fixed.
Re: IPC. Yes you can fit it to your S1 no problems at all as long as you get your variant config spot on. (I have fitted E3 IPCs to S1 Omegas with no faults etc. I dont have to pull them apart though but certainly can be done with EEPROM hack and slash)

Heres what it looks like you have got set in your BIN:
Car Body Style: 4 Door Short Wheel Base Sedan
Engine Type: LY7 3.6L V6
Transmission Type: 6 Speed Manual (D173) - MV5
Suspension Type: Sports FE2
Country: Australia (CX5)
Tyre Pressure Monitor System: Not Fitted
Police mode: Disabled
Navigation: Full Nav (UV9)
Fleet Telematics: Not Fitted
LPG: Not Fitted
Auto Headlamps Level: Not Fitted
Electronic Suspension Control: Not Fitted

Is all that information correct for your car? Not sure on what the VIN is or the Kms, haven't worked that out yet
