Camshaft Position Sensor (Cylinder Identification) (CMP - CID) circuit malfunction.
DTC P0340 is reported if the CMP or its circuit have malfunctioned.
Possible Sensor Faults
Sensor not correctly installed, faulty or malfunctioning sensor
Possible Wiring Faults
Improper connection, CMP signal open circuit, CMP signal shorted to ground or Vehicle Power (VPWR), Signal Return (SIGRTN) open circuit, improper harness connections
