Diagnostic Trouble Code Description:
Electro Drive Fan 2 (EDF2) circuit malfunction.
DTC P0481 is reported if EDF2 fails the Output Circuit Check during self-test.
The PCM switched on EDF2, but the battery load monitor did not register a corresponding draw on power.
Possible Wiring Faults
Open circuit to fan relay, blown fuse, damaged or faulty relay, improper connection
Possible Module Faults
Faulty or damaged fan motor. fan stays on: short circuit to Vehicle Power (VPWR) or ground in harness or connector, faulty or damaged PCM
