I said that it is a pain in the ass if he has to pull the h/u out & send it away.....no sound system....climate..demister etc for a while, or can it be done with a "flash" module posted to him?

The "flash module" is in the works. Ive just finished coding and testing the concept and works great. Just have to finish a few things off.

it is a pain I agree but hey... if you want a new bigger engine.. its a pain that it has to be pulled out and rebuilt etc.... if you don't want something because its an inconvenience then don't do it.. you want something custom then it sometimes means you have to go without....

if it was something over the phone... (which it aint) then there would be no way I or anyone in the know would hand it out like that... it needs to be (at this stage as jezza pointed out) flashed in via some special software and cable... so the reason why he needs to send the unit to someone.. if he cant do with out the headunit he will have to do without the 4 speakers ;)

Thats good jezzab, you'll do well with it once finished.

doubledip, I'm hearing ya!! True, but it can be a big job for some people, if they are not mechanically minded or physically capable without scratching or breaking any plastics, clips and so on, which leads them to frustration & extra costs. The worst one's are the heavy handed impatient rush rush bastards who just f up every thing they touch. So take your time & do it right..once.
The "over the phone" was only a joke, didn't you notice the big LOL after it?
Maybe you should take a holiday

to Darwin. haha.

the over the phone joke part sometimes falls on deaf ears when we constantly had to tell you that it couldn't be done by holden and how It had to be done , while you kept coming back with " but he said this" or "what about that"...

you start to wonder exactly what the person is honestly trying to say/understand or even comprehends.....

as you have surely seen a lot of people on this forum are fly by nighters looking for the quick cheap fix and then F Off never to be heard of again... or take the information and then use it to make money them selves without risking putting anything in to help themselves....

Maybe they need to learn some patience because if they can't remove the radio how do they hope to wire in extra wires without the car catching on fire or mounting the amp with out drilling through the fuel lines etc. ROFL  if he breaks stuff well tuff !!!! we all have "broken" things or sacrificed parts for the good of learning... and if a person wants something done and is in fear of breaking something then don't do it... its a simple hard and fast rule...

As for the module Jez is working on that has been a project that has been moving slowly towards an end goal which needed all the breakages along the way... now that he has made big leaps and bounds the last couple of weaks it will become a reality soon... but as long as people don't feel it will be a $20 fix as a lot of work has gone into figuring out how it is all done

Hi doubledip, yes I have seen a few "on the fly" come & go & yes it pisses me off as well. No thanks, no f all. There is a few around that get what they want then your not worth shit to them! That's life these days unfortunally.
I am on here to learn for my OWN being & to be able to help others if I can, just like a few of you good guy's do here. Maybe one day I might post something that you'se don't know, which I doubt, but I would go out of my way to help you'se as well. Believe me I am very appreciative for what I have learnt here & I hope I can help people here as well.
I did not make my money by ripping off other peoples ideas or knowledge & don't intend to. I learnt myself & went from there. In an actual fact, I have helped a few get started in their business
for for what it cost me back then & even a few for free.
Now on the "but he said this" & "what about that" subject. What I was told for entering the vin, was different to how you'se said. The answer I wanted you finally gave me...."there is no sedan ute option....that's of the vin." I was told that you enter the sedan, ute or 5dr wagon then vin seperately, so we eventually cleared that up!
After jezza's hard, smart work, you'de have to be a dickhead to expect it for 20 bucks or so. As I said, he will do well with it once it is on the market.
And the last thing, I am not always serious, I like a laugh every now & then, so if you see a big LOL just do that or brush it off. Your choice.
Cheers
