What he means is it would probably be easier to buy that connector and wire it in as a plug. Doesn't mean it will give it VGA capability. The S1 and S2 use RGBS as the NAV/EDI input. The radio still needs the packets sent to it to allow it to use the input.

I have read that models with the factory fitted colour LCD screen (I.E. SSV, Calais, HSV, Statesman, Caprice) have the Video Connector already fitted to these models.

(Apparently the video connector is there for optionally fitting the Sat-Nav system, and that this connector is wired to a conventional square connector located on the LHS of the glove box).

Is there anyone with a Series I SSV, Calais, or HSV model (Without factory Sat-Nav or Rear Seat Entertainment) that can shed some light on this ?

I know the post if a few months old and you probably have worked it out.
My car is a MY09 E1 GTS and didn't have Sat Nav installed but it has the video plug and sat nav plug behind the glovebox etc.

I can confirm the part number for the VE Commodore Sat Nav video cable which plugs into the loom behind the glovebox is 92204195
