Ve Steering Wheel Controls

Hi there,

I'm currently changing my dash lights from red to white, I have changed everything now except for my steering wheel controls, I need to find out if the controls can be purchased with white illumination which would be the ideal way, if not i need to know what size are the LED's to fit the controls, because they are a lot smaller then the ones i had to change for the cluster and stereo, which where 3.5mm X 2.8mm 1210 PLCC-2.

Hi Reids115,
The steering wheel controls use type 0805 leds (2mm x 1.25mm)
If you want to modify the existing switches, you will need 6 of them, 3 per switch.
RS components have them in a pack of 10 for about $5.50 I think. stock# is 7031196 for the white ones.
A magnifying headset and the smallest soldering iron tip will help, as these things are tiny !
