Specific interior modification information for Holden Commodore VE and VEII Series Commodores, and HSV E1, E2, and E3 models

Postby doubledip » Mon Aug 12, 2013 4:24 pm

people have asked that many times regarding this information and much much more that the threads have mostly been removed from the common forum and need the invite now..

its hostile (or comes across this way) because these days a lot of people feel they are owed something and expect it for free or at least for a lot less than people are asking... if something is too much then politely say thanks for that and just never go back but to then come on to a forum and ask can any one do it or give me the answers on all of this because "I don't feel its worth the money they are asking" has got another thing coming...

Last night at 10:00pm I was rung on my mobile because someone wanted some info on sticking pod gauges in there commodore and they needed help on finding wires because the instructions they had weren't accurate for their car... and then 30 mins later they msg'd through facebook.,.. then hour after that they messaged Jezza and have been ringing him all day today.,.

now to me that is just plain rude a sunday night at 10pm .. never bought anything off me (I am a business that deals with this type of work day in day out) and then expect me to help him PFFFTTT!!!! kidding right.. so unfortunately a lot of people get painted with the same brush.. especially when its got " can I please have" and post count 1..

VIM related questions are fine, actually any questions asked here are fine for most of us guys, BUT when someone basically says " its a rip off ", they should ask for prices elsewhere before telling anybody what their knowledge/hard work is worth.
I joined this forum after looking for the wiring & info for fitting a reverse camera. I had already looked for it but could not find any info on SII cameras or a wiring diagram. I asked the guys here A question & it didn't work, so I asked another. I got good answers of these guys one by one & from there I worked it out & then done a full write up with photos for every one else to see. I didn't ask for a complete diagram so I didn't have to think, or for some one to do it for 20 bucks & a case of beer! Every body wants it on the cheap, so you go to work for 1/2 your pay & see if you like it.
Another thing is the ones that ask a million questions & don't even return a thanks or tell us the end result to share which may just help the next bloke solve his problem without any stress or wasting cash, then they just fuck off

Yeah i see where you guys are coming from.
Doubledip - i feel your pain. i work in IT as a specialist technician, i agree that is plain rude. Ive too had calls from whether it be friends of friends or someone from work calling after hours wanting answers and it sends me up the wall!
I'm all for helping people out, but there's a time and a right way to go about it.

i was by no means trying to have a dig at anyone :)
i do see where everyone is coming from and that just flat out asking is wrong especially when there is no work put in before hand..

the only thing that got to me was the comment about his car being a grange and that he should be able to afford paying the money for the VIM. we dont know his situation.. (all im going to say)

once again, not having a go at people :)
just i think maybe a mod should put a sticky up or maybe a guidline at the top of this section stating do not directly ask people for VIM ect ect :)

hopefully i have not poked anyone the wrong way :)

If all these things were so simple, then everyone would have them.....

And if anyone ever rings me at work asking for VIM locations, Wiring etc... be prepared for a phone call you will never forget. I tune VEs and many other cars for a living, I do this hacking at home (but relates to a lot of stuff I do at work so they cross pollenate alot)

And FB... I get asked car questions about engines, exhausts, cams, electronics every day to my PERSONAL account... and people get cranky when you don't respond because just MAYBE I wanna have a bit of time for myself and NOT talking about cars when ive been working on them for up to 60 hours a week??

Anyway. That's my rant

Regardless of the catiness....who here can hook ME up with VIM bypass? I'm assuming that Doubledip and Silversv6 do this for a living judging by their remarks. I also live in Melbourne. Happy to travel as far as Geelong in any direction from CBD.

WRONG, I don't do VIM for a living, but I do know how a business runs & the cost of tools, materials time, fuckups & don't forget the brains to keep it all going..
I don't know of any one for the VIM in Vic, but if you are ever in Sydney area then Doubledip's the man or you can post your unit to him to get it done. cheers
PS:Hard to find someone in Vic to do it. That is why the price is what it is!! If every body was smart enough, patient enough & could afford all the gear to do it including a few spare IQ systems to ruin, then it would only be 5 bucks.
