Installing HSV E3 Gauges in VE Series 2

Specific interior modification information for Holden Commodore VE and VEII Series Commodores, and HSV E1, E2, and E3 models

Postby markssv » Fri Jan 03, 2014 2:36 pm

Hi, I'm new to this site and still finding my way around. Have enjoyed the reading so far.

I have found posts on VE series 1 on this subject but not VE Series 2.

My problems,

I have a VE Series 2 SSV Z series ute, and installing HSV VE E3 centre gauges from a Maloo .(Black gauges)

Question. Does the SSV and HSV have a common wiring loom? Gauges have been unplugged from the Maloo but cannot find any suitable connection on the SSV.

Have seen on the JHP Vehicle Enhancements website, the series 2 looks like just plug and play, series 1 being more involved.

Has anyone installed these on a Series 2? or any suggestions.

Thanks
Mark

Gauges are installed but not without its problems. Had to go to auto electrician in the end.

To answer some of my questions.

1. HSV and SS do have different wiring looms.

2. VE series 1 is different from Series 2.
The Steering Angle Sensor Wiring Harness is different

Sorry can be much more help at present, dash all reassemble by auto electrician so didn't see were the wires went.
