Hi there, and welcome to the forums :)

Have a read of the following Link
view_doc.php?doc_id=60&model_id=19

This explains what you need for the early VE Series Clusters.
(Commonly referred to as the White backed clusters) which were made by Arrow.

Later Clusters (MY9.5 onwards) - (With the Black back colour) made by VDO are a little bit different.
The LCD Illumination LEDs are 90* Angled, and are pretty expensive to buy.
Everything else (In terms of the illumination LEDs) are the same.

If you get stuck, post up where you are stuck, or if there is a part that you need help with, and I will be more than happy to help out.

Cheers
Matti

hi I have decided to go blue numbers white dials and blue background on the digital read out and possibly red readouts. For example where the digital klms shows in the centre of the dash also where the radio and time is displayed , I have ordered all the different colours I need also I bought a power supply that I can adjust down to 3 volts so I can check that I have all the colours working before I reassemble the dash best of luck with your dash keep in contact

If the leds are smd leds eg 1210. Then they will be 3v leds, generally if the device is using these, it will already have the resistors on the board to allow the 12v voltage into the module.

If the leds are 3/5mm leds, then generally you will need to solder a resistor to it so it doesnt just fry instantly
