Wow !!!!
Talk about making things more complicated !!!!

The EEPROM dump looks completely different to the older Arrow EEPROMs.
At least the VIN is not encrypted !!!!

Farq !!!!! I like the looks of the E3 Cluster.....
I have to say, powered up and fitted the thing looks hot !!!!

I dont like the E1/E2 clusters because of the Red illumination, which makes it difficult to read at night.
I changed mine to white illumination, and well, white illumination on white faces doesn't work to well either !!!!!

Next step is to change the Atari gauges to white Illumination to match the cluster LCD panels !!!!

The E3 dash was brand new. Changed the VIN to mine and it asked to be programmed. The E3 bin is actually longer then my cluster bin. If u put my code into the e3 it just turns into a single window.

Took some nutting out to get it right with no codes.
I'll upload the stock e3 bin tomorrow

Then the new ones are a different kettle of fish. I think there is about 30+ bytes and then there is apparently an overall counter/reference byte so that if you change the main bytes and not this one it will go into security lockdown

:(

What is the micro used in the newer VE clusters? Is it a Micronas?

I can confirm you can put an E3 cluster in a MY06/MY07 with no errors :) Just takes a bit of trickery with the EEPROM coding as Tech2 doesnt have the ability to program it correctly without errors

Here is a dump of my secondhand 2008 AAPL Berlina cluster.

Part Number 92208262
87216km

I have no idea what the car's engine/transmission combo was.

I won't be plugging it in until I get home in a few hours, but I've taken this dump, and changed the following:

0x0142 - 0x0143 - now 9FFD (I have an Omega LY7/4L60E)
0x0346 - 0x0347 - now 9FFD (as above)
0x0330 - 0x0331, 0x0337 - 0x0339, and 0x033C - 0x033F are set to the Calais values.

The two VIN locations have been also changed.

I plan on changing the display brightness bit once I change all the LEDs to white, and copying my odometer addresses if this works, but right now this has been flashed to the cluster just to see if it'll plug in and work without any errors.

Unfortunately, I can't test it properly as my car currently is up on stands and has no exhaust or propshaft, ergo no driving it.
