Hi, and welcome to the forums !
Thankyou for question and your post
Just to make sure, have you got the Fairmont Cluster yet ? If so do you know what series it is from ? (AU Series I, II, or III ???)

There is document which although outlines series 1 falcons, should give you a little bit of an idea as what may be required.

doc-ford-falcon-au-upgrading-instrument-clusters-d3m4.html

I will try and hunt down information for the series II Cluster wiring, and see if there is much different for these models.
Give me a day, and I will see what information I can get for you :)
(Sorry, the forum is a little bare in terms of posters, and posts, Its just starting out, and I am hoping that thngs wil change soon...)

Cheers
Matti

I will update the AU Cluster Doco Shortly to include revised AUII and AUIII Cluster wiring information.

Basically, you will need to change some of the wires around on the Left Hand Side Wiring Connector, to get things working....
These include,

1. The Park Lamp Dial (+ Positive) Illumination needs to be moved from Pin 13 to Pin 2. - (Brown Wire)
2. The Dial Negative Dimmer Illumination needs to be moved from Pin 21 to Pin 3. - (Light Blue / Red trace Wire)
3. The ABS Warning Lamp Wire needs to be moved from Pin 8 to Pin 23 - (Orange/Black Trace Wire)
4. The R.H. Side Indicator wire needs to be moved from Pin 19 to Pin 26 - Green / Light Blue (Series 1 is White / Light Blue)

Please note: You will lose the Distance to empty function, as the Fairmont / Ghia Clusters display this information on the Trip Computer / Climate Control LCD Screen.

Also, Series II, and Series III Falcons did not get a proper Oil Pressure Sensor, instead they use an Oil Pressure switch,
which kinda makes the oil pressure gauge read around half way, or no oil pressure.

I will look in to the door ajar warning for you as well. (I need to brush up on what features the AUII/AUIII Fairmonts had in terms of door ajar warning system, etc)....

Cheers
Matti
