Diagnostic Trouble Code Description:
Cylinder Head Temperature Sensor Out Of Self Test Range.
DTC P1288 is reported if the CHT sensor temperature is out of range during self test.
Possible Sensor Faults
Sensor damaged or faulty.
Possible Wiring Faults
Improper connection. Sensor wiring open circuit or short circuit to VPWR or PWRGND, VREF or SIGRTN.
Possible Module Faults
Engine too hot or cold during self-test. Operate engine to normal operating temperature and re-run test.
